When Things Fall Apart - It's Good!

Letters from the Executive Director

I was recently at a seminar where the presenter asked us if we felt like things were falling apart in our lives. After reminding us that it is a natural occurrence on the road to greater awareness, his counsel was to unbuckle the seat belts, let go of clinging to the armrest and say to the universe ‘Bring it on’. Of course, we all laughed. Being a group of psychics, the mental image picture that formed in the room was pretty funny.
Anyone on a conscious spiritual journey is familiar with things falling apart. As you shift your focus to inside for your answers and choose a life of more authenticity, the false answers that have been guiding you have to fall away; could be job, a relationship, or a habit.
The question is how to remain at peace when everything seems to be falling apart. It’s simple, but not easy. Let go of the resistance that says things should remain the same, and stop clinging to what is past. Acknowledge and validate where you are right now.
People often come into the Center because they want their lives to change. They take a class, begin to look at their pictures (stuck energy), release the stuck energy and voila! Life begins to fall apart. Or so it seems. The mind will often say that you are doing something wrong at this stage. Actually, you are doing something right. You wanted to change, remember? That means you have to slough off that old skin that you’ve outgrown.
It helps to remember that behind all the changing scenes, there is a constant and that is where one can rest their awareness in peace. Take the time to commune with yourself; who you really are - which is the eternal spirit within that temporary body. If your ego is freaking out, know that is what the ego does. It tries to protect you by thinking it needs to be in control and stop life from changing. It masquerades as a false prophet, yet it’s just the voice of fear trying to tell you that you are too little to go beyond where you are. Again, look inside and give yourself a smile and a beautiful hello. Don’t fight it, just know that voice isn’t one of truth. Within you resides nothing less than the infinite.
Speaking of change, ‘time’s they are a changin’ at the Center. A few months ago, I recognized that a change was needed in this new year, but I didn’t know how to do it. Fortunately, all we ever have to do is give the universe a consistent postulate and it responds. It responded to me and now it is happening. Read the Center News to get an update on our growth. And unbuckle your seatbelt, pry your hands off the armrest and join us for the ride. We can all be amused together as we heal ourselves of the old limits and grow into a new skin.
