Letters from the Executive Director

I was speaking with someone recently about what we teach at the Center. In response to my saying we train people in how to use their clairvoyant abilities, she expressed doubt. “Isn’t it a gift that one either has or doesn’t have?” she asked.
Sometimes it saddens me when I see the extent in which we have all been programmed to feel disempowered in our lives. We have lost our innate ability to find solutions inside, opting instead to look outside at the ‘current’ expert on us; a therapist, a doctor, a guru or a self-help book. While I am a proponent of seeking outside help when we are stuck (help that leads us inside), I am also a large proponent of having faith at you are the answer that you are seeking. We claim to be of one consciousness yet adopt someone else’s truth about who we are as more valid than our own. I have come to believe that choosing spiritual freedom in one’s life is a radical act. Spiritual freedom comes through self-exploration. When you can truly validate and rejoice in the contribution you make to this planet by simply being yourself, than your life organically becomes of service.
I remember when I was in high school and discovered the game of basketball. When I began playing around with the basketball, I had no skill. One summer I practiced everyday and eventually the ball began to do what I intended it to do more often than not. I no longer saw myself as being unskilled in the game. I started to have confidence in my abilities. I went on to being ranked third in the state by the time I graduated from high school.
We all possess the ability of clairvoyance. We all use it in our lives; some consciously, some unconsciously. Becoming adept at your spiritual abilities such as clairvoyance is not much different than my experience with learning to play basketball. It’s true that some people come in with a gift and some discover it after practice and application. But wasn’t it Jesus that said “you will do far greater than I?” If that is the case, and I choose to think that what we believe comes to pass, than we have infinite possibilities available to us. Risk exploring yourself!
Being psychic is not a mystery. We get out of balance in our lives when there is no communication with spirit. In our classes, we speak the language of energy which is the language of spirit. You may not choose to develop your clairvoyant ability to be a professional psychic but you can use your God given gifts to heal yourself and increase your peace. I have moments in doing this work whether in a class, a reading, or a healing clinic, when I feel profoundly moved by the great mystery of life. And all it takes is looking within! Everyone has that ability.
